Melanie Thirion, Executive Director
A lifelong resident of Northeast Ohio, Melanie Thirion brings more than twenty years experience within the senior living profession to her role as Executive Director of Sanctuary Grande. Melanie earned a BS in Health from Ohio University with a Gerontology Certificate and received her MS in Public Health from Youngstown State University. Melanie is also a licensed nursing home administrator. She is a compassionate listener and enjoys serving as a mentor to others. In her spare time, she and her husband, David, enjoy the company of their three dogs and one cat, gardening and Crossfit training.
Alicia Hoffman, Director of Sales & Marketing
A Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist since 2010, Alicia specialized in working with seniors and individuals with cognitive impairments as both a treating therapist and as a manager of a post-acute care rehabilitation department within Stark County. Her undergraduate and graduate degrees were earned from The University of Akron. She is a certified Chair Chi Instructor as well. Alicia is delighted to be on the Sanctuary Grande team because her personal mission aligns with Danbury’s mission, which allows her to truly “live” this mission each day! She and husband, Seth, have been married for seven years and are parents to two daughters, ages 6 1/2 and 4. Alicia’s hobbies include hanging with family and friends, listening to live music, watching her daughters play sports and anything outdoors.
Rose Medley, Business Office Manager
With more than forty years business office experience within a variety of healthcare settings, Rose has expertise in billing, payroll, human resources and operational management. She is an active member of the SHRM for Human Resources Professionals. Rose holds a deep regard for the senior community and is dedicated to fostering qualities such as compassion and responsiveness. Although she advocates an efficient and organized office, Rose is equally creative when it comes to problem-solving. Rose has been married to her husband, Doug for over forty years. They are proud parents to three grown daughters and a five-year-old registered therapy dog “Boo”. Rose’s hobbies include scrapbooking, traveling, cross-stitch and singing “backup” for musical productions at the Player’s Guild in Canton.
Seth Hoffman, Executive Chef
A certified culinary professional, Seth served as the Chef at Table6 Kitchen & Bar for the past three years. He is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the residents by creating wonderful dining experiences. In combination with his culinary expertise, Seth exhibits the patience and strong customer service skills that are certain to foster his success as a mentor in the field. Seth and his wife Alicia have been married for six years. They are proud parents to two daughters, Adley and Anna.
Sam Dillon, Environmental Services Director
With over thirty years’ environmental services and maintenance experience within senior living settings, Sanctuary Grande is delighted to welcome Sam Dillon to the Danbury “family”. With outstanding credentials in the areas of building safety and emergency preparedness, Sam also has over six years dedicated experience in the field of plumbing, heating, and air conditioning. Sam is proud to have been a resident of Stark County for over forty years. He and his wife, Lori, have three children and two granddaughters. Sam’s hobbies include golfing, working out in the gym and riding 1,000 miles per year on his bicycle.
