Leasa has worked with Senior Citizens for over 20 years, the last 10 with Danbury Senior Living. She began her senior living career as a fitness director for Wooster Community Center teaching water fitness, line dancing and a variety of other classes. This led Leasa to become the Activity Director for an assisted living community. She was the Marketing Director for Danbury Senior Living in Cuyahoga Falls before becoming the Executive Director in North Canton. Leasa enjoys her position because of the warm family atmosphere that is present from the moment you walk through the front doors. She appreciates the team efforts of the staff and enjoys the friendliness of the residents.
Kathie has been with Danbury for 11 years. Her prior leadership experience is as an administrator of a child care center and a manager of a restaurant. Kathie appreciates the diversity of each resident. She orchestrates the operations of the front desk and business office and is eager to assist residents and co-workers.
Desirae joined the Danbury team in March of 2020. She brings over 18 years of senior living experience with her. Desirae began as an Activities Assistant while still in high school which led her to aspire to be an Activities Director. She achieved that goal and then continued to work in the same community for 17 years in multiple roles including the Business Office, Case Management, and eventually Admissions and Marketing. She feels very fulfilled in her position with Danbury and has developed many meaningful relationships. In Desirae’s free time she enjoys spending time with her sons Austin, 12, and Jaxtyn, 3 who are her world. She also enjoys cooking and entertaining.
Kelly Rose Stallard joined us as the Director of Business Development and Marketing for Danbury Senior Living in 2017. She brings over 20 years of health care business development experience from the areas of skilled nursing, emergency medical response, skilled home care and hospice. Kelly graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kent State University with a focus in Gerontology. She has received numerous sales growth and new market development awards throughout her career. Kelly’s passion is to assist families when faced with deciding the best options for “aging in place”. She assists in area professional group events and is involved in many community organizations. Kelly is a graduate of the class of 2014 Leadership Medina County. She has also participated in the Faith in Action fundraiser “Dancing with Medina Stars” and won the People’s Choice Award in 2014. Her expertise in health care and her ability to connect people with needed services is a focus of her activities.
Kate joined the Danbury family in 2017 as an Administrative Assistant at Danbury in Brunswick. Prior to working at Danbury, she attended the University of Akron and then worked as an Activities Coordinator. When the opportunity to join the Danbury North Canton team in the Life Enrichment Director role came up it was one she knew she was meant for. Kate says in this role she is “living the dream” as entertaining seniors and planning events and activities are her passion. When she’s not entertaining our residents and keeping them active you can find her enjoying the outdoors with her fiancé, Andy, and their 3 dogs. They enjoy kayaking, boating, and spending time with family and friends.
Robin has been enjoying learning new cooking techniques and preparing family favorites for over 25 years. She first began cooking in her family’s restaurant, located in a small Canadian logging town. She has picked up different skill sets at the many colorful locations she has resided, ranging from the mountains of British Columbia to Montana to Northern California and now Ohio. She loves making delicious homemade meals for our residents. “I try hard to keep our residents happy by serving the meals they love and giving them some new dishes to try as well.” In her spare time she loves cooking and baking for her family and friends. At home she has 3 very active children who love to do any outdoor activities with mom; gardening, hiking, fishing, swimming and boating to name a few.
Ryan has been in maintenance most of his life. His grandfather owned properties throughout the Akron area. He taught him to take pride in his work. Ryan enjoys teaching what he has learned over the years to others as well as learning something new every day. He loves the outdoors and spending time with his wife and two sons. Ryan likes to joke and have fun with the residents and enjoy the stories and history they share with him.
Our senior residents love calling Danbury home. Hear their stories and what about this community they've fallen in love with.
