Kim has been in various roles of Assisted Living and healthcare for over 20 years. She has a great passion for working with seniors. She states her favorite thing to do is listen to their stories and hear about the amazing experiences they have had. She is a graduate of Brown Mackie college in North Canton, Ohio where she received her LPN degree. She is also a Certified Executive for Assisted Living. Kim has 4 children and 3 grandchildren. Her favorite times are spent outdoors with her family and friends.
Suzanne Krem, Director of Nursing
Suzanne has been in the nursing field for over 20 years. She has an unwavering passion to serve seniors. Suzanne is very proud of her Danbury community in her hometown of Mount Vernon. She makes it her personal goal to provide opportunities of independence and experience to the seniors she serves. She is a natural nurturer. She has been married to her husband for 11 years and together they raise 4 wonderful children and family pets. Family is very important to her and the only place she spends her free time is making memories with them.
Kim Phillips, Director of Sales and Marketing
Kim’s mission for promoting and ensuring that seniors are living their best lives has been a passion of hers for over 10 years. Kim has served in clinical and life enrichment roles during her career, as well. A native of Westerville, she has lived in Knox County for over 20 years. In her spare time, Kim enjoys freelance photography, cultural and sporting events (especially baseball) and entertaining family and friends. Kim’s favorite moments are those she gets with her four grown children and two precious grandsons.
Candy Jepsen, Business Office Manager
Candace moved back to Mount Vernon from the Columbus area 5 years ago. She has 15 years of receptionist and HR experience. She deeply values teamwork and open communication. She was drawn to assisted living by her sincere fondness of seniors and the desire to be a part of their lives. She has been married for 13 years and they have 6 children between the two of them with one grandson, who the world revolves around in her eyes.
Casey Leisure, Director of Life Enrichment
Casey is a graduate of Bowling Green State University, earning her bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Leisure & Event Planning. While attending college, she excelled in her gerontology classes and found her passion serving older adults. She has over six years of experience in senior living with five of those years geared towards Life Enrichment & Programming. Casey finds her role as Life Enrichment Director a rewarding career path, as she gets to try new things and make an impactful difference in the residents lives every day. She appreciates the influence the residents have made in her life as well by learning the history and traditions of each resident. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and enjoying the outdoors.
Kathy Allar, Executive Chef
After graduating from high school in the mid 80’s, Kathy joined the Air National Guard. She became a food service specialist which launched her passion for cooking. Kathy attended Hocking Technical College where she majored in Culinary Arts and Hotel Restaurant Management. She spent 15 years in hotels and various restaurants to gain knowledge of various cuisines. In 2000, she decided to take her knowledge into healthcare and never looked back. She has a love for all animals, enjoy cooking and baking. Most of all, she enjoys being part a great team with the same goals.
