Nicole Hively, Executive Director
Nicole has over 24 years of senior care experience and is a graduate of Ohio University with a degree in Long Term Health Care Administration. She is a licensed nursing home administrator and has obtained her master’s degree from Kent State University. Nicole is dedicated to educating the community on the benefits and services available at Danbury Senior Living. She is always willing to assist residents and family members with any questions or concerns they may have related to the transition to their new home with Danbury Senior Living. Nicole’s strives daily to make Danbury Senior Living the place to be for senior living.
April Page, Director of Admissions
April has been working in the senior living field for over 5 years, and has 20 years of customer service experience. She graduate from Green High School and lives locally in the Akron area. April has held a variety of positions with Danbury of North Canton before becoming the Marketing Director of Danbury Massillon. Her passion is to always provide the best service and care to residents and their families. She enjoys every moment of her job with the best part- meeting new residents and forming lasting friendships. April’s spare time is happily spent with family and friends and she goes by the motto “Live Life to the Fullest Each Day”!
Lori Dillon, Business Office Manager
Lori felt a calling for working with seniors when she was young, which has led to a devoted career spanning over thirty years. She believes that it is a privilege to work and serve alongside her Danbury co-workers to encourage and support our residents. Her personal goal is to make Danbury each individual’s “home” while learning about their life experiences, life lessons, and talents.
Mary Loy, CDP, Life Enrichment Director
Mary came to Danbury of Massillon to fulfill a service-learning requirement for a college class, and she quickly fell in love with the residents and the senior living industry. After completing her service learning, she was hired as a Life Enrichment Assistant and worked in that position while finishing her degree. She graduated from Western Michigan University in December 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts degree with concentrations in Gerontology, Business, and Religion. She was the Assistant Director of Life Enrichment at Massillon for two years and is excited to continue her career as the Life Enrichment Director. She often says she has the best job in the building because she gets to have fun with the residents, and she is dedicated to providing fun, stimulating, innovative, and educational programming for all.
Ray McDonald, Chef and Director of Dining Services
Ray has over 16 years’ experience in senior living. “I love preparing meals for residents. Food is something to look forward to in their day and I want to bring them the best experience possible. Anytime I can do something to make a resident smile, I try to go out of my way to get it done.” Ray received his ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification. He won 2 major awards in the Wayne County Iron Chef Competition.
Brian Gross, Director of Environmental Services
Brian is a degreed Mechanical Engineer, who after a 25-year career as an engineer, quality and purchasing professional in a worldwide multicultural environment, decided to follow a calling to serve seniors. Brian started at Danbury Massillon in 2018 as a life enrichment assistant spending most of his time with the residents in the memory care neighborhood. He developed new activities and relationships with all residents using his lifetime experiences, people skills, and creativity. Brian is thankful for the relationships established and the fun he and the residents had in activities. Brian recently accepted the Director of Environmental Services position. He is extending those relationships and making new ones as he focuses on creating and maintaining the “WOW” factor when a person enters the facility. Brian is applying his experience, problem solving skills, and mechanical knowledge to ensure residents enjoy a safe, clean, and engaging environment. He still makes time to sit down at the piano or organ and entertain the residents with his musical talent. At home, he enjoys playing musical instruments, photography, gardening, the outdoors, and tinkering with anything mechanical or tech oriented.
