Danbury Introduces Wellness Program Designed for Residents with Parkinson's Disease

Danbury Senior Living is pleased to announce Create a Better You, a specialized balance, mobility and agility program for seniors living with Parkinson’s Disease or other neurogenerative diseases.

The first of its kind in Ohio, Create a Better You provides exercises for individuals and groups. Danbury in Massillon is partnering with the Parkinson’s Foundation Ohio Chapter and Dr. Deb Kegelmeyer of NeuKinetics, producer of Create a Better You and a Professor at The Ohio State University. The program is now being implemented at Danbury’s Parkside Village in Westerville and Danbury in Broadview Heights.

Create a Better You can help residents reduce the risk of falls and improve their overall quality of life by maximizing their ability to master these skills:

  • Improve balance
  • Maintain independence
  • Improve cognitive skills
  • Reduce stress and anxiety
  • Build confidence
